Air Pollution a Slow Poison in Delhi

This is not a new one when someone is writing about Delhi Air Pollution, Delhi Air Quality is listed in the worst bad AQI cities in the World. Delhi is listed among Top 5 polluted cities in the world this is not for the first time and nor the last time because there is no major steps is taken to tackle this problem.

Government is giving free electricity, free water, free metro fares and many more things but not free clean air which is more important than anything in Delhi in present Days. Air pollution is a slow poison which is harming everyone who breathes in this atmosphere.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution is linked to 7 million premature deaths. Here is a breakdown by the diseases air pollution causes:

Outdoor air pollution
40% – ischaemic heart disease
40% – stroke
11% – chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
6% - lung cancer
3% – acute lower respiratory infections in children

Indoor air pollution
34% - stroke
26% - Coronary artery disease|ischaemic heart disease
22% - COPD (chronic obstruction pulmonary disease)
12% - acute lower respiratory infections in children
6% - lung cancer

Everyone knows it is the time to take the action against it but the question is this who will take the action? State Government, Central Government, Local Authorities or the People of Delhi, I think there all are waiting for each other.

Someone thinks that Delhi Air Quality get worst or bad in November around Depawli when people burn crackers and farmers burning the wastes(Parali) but the real thing is that Delhi Air Quality is not good for the health throughout the year and it gets worst in November.

It needed to take a major step to control Air Pollution by every single one who is capable to control it otherwise it will get more worst day by day.
